More S’mores, Please! [Infographic]

The only thing better than camping under a wide starry sky, surrounded by the sounds of a crackling fire and chirping crickets, is the taste of an incredible s’more. Even if you find yourself smack in the middle of winter, you can instantly make it feel like summer again with the perfect combination of chocolate, graham cracker, and toasted marshmallow. (Indoor campers tip: use the stovetop, microwave, or broiler in place of a fire pit.)

Here’s some mouthwatering s’more combinations that go above the original recipe and make you a happy camper all year long.

Another one my girl scouts loved was replacing the Graham crackers with slices of green apple. They were fantastic.

These look wonderful – is there an area where I can find what you are using for these – are they skillets?

My sister-in-law in St Paul got me hooked on using Pepperidge Farm Chessmen cookies (buttery goodness) with gourmet dark chocolate. OMG! My family, all with major sweet tooths, came up with a new creation a couple of years ago, up in Grand Marais, MN, where there is a place called “World’s Finest Donuts.” They called it “S’mo-nuts.” Yup, 2 donuts as the sandwich, with a chocolate piece, and toasted marshmallows in-between. All I could do is watch the gluttony–and take pictures. But then, I married into the family, so I don’t have the family’s traditional giant-sized sweet tooth.

Thank you for the great ideas….i also make it with a banana, mini choc. Chips, and mini marshmallows. Cut a bit of banana from top to bottom fill with chips and marshmallows, put the piece of banana back and heat….

Try using Peeps instead of marshmallow. The sugar coating caramelizes and the inside melts. Absolutely amazing!

My favorite is York Peppermint Pattie + marshmallow :). It’s the best!

My family loves using the Girl Scout Thanks-A-Lot Cookies and placing the roasted marshmallow between the two chocolate sides of the cookie to make a s’more sandwich. We will definitely try adding the banana and peanut butter next time we make these.
