Tips for Using the Electric Pop & Stir
- It’s best to use oils with a high smoke point for popcorn. We recommend:
- Refined (not raw) coconut oil
- Grapeseed oil
- Vegetable oil
- Olive oil (not extra virgin)
- Canola oil
- Peanut oil
- Refined (not raw) avocado oil
- If you’re using butter on the top and it doesn’t completely melt, use a silicone basting brush or spatula to push around the butter until it melts. You can also start with room-temperature butter.
- Add salt or your favorite seasoning while the popcorn is still warm, so it sticks!
- Sift out any un-popped kernels!
- Popcorn makes a great gift all year. Pop it into a gift bag or box and share it with your friends and family!

Variations
- Popcorn Beer Bread: Give Pampered Chef’s Beer Bread Mix a fun twist with popcorn! The crushed popcorn gives the bread a unique texture that will be the talk of any party. Add 1½ cups (375 mL) of finely ground popcorn to the Beer Bread Mix. Add 3 tbsp (45 mL) of melted butter to the mixture, along with 12 oz. (350 g) of beer. Mix it up and pour into a prepared loaf pan. Add another 1 tbsp (15 mL) of melted butter to the top and bake according to the package directions for 60 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
- Hot Cocoa: Add 1–2 packets of hot chocolate mix and ¼ tsp (1 mL) of salt while the popped popcorn is still warm. Toss in 1 cup (250 mL) of mini marshmallows after it’s cooled. You can use different flavors of hot cocoa like white chocolate, caramel, or mocha.
- Peppermint: Drizzle popped popcorn with melted white chocolate and toss to coat. Sprinkle with crushed peppermint candies or candy canes and red sprinkles; toss to coat. Let the chocolate harden before enjoying.
- Birthday: Drizzle popped popcorn with melted white chocolate or colored chocolate candy melts then add rainbow sprinkles or candies.

This family favorite only has four ingredients and it’s done fast—perfect for after-school snacks, a movie night treat, or any time.
Cook’s Tip
- Refined (not raw) coconut oil is great for popping popcorn because it can take high heat. It adds a slight coconut flavor to the popcorn, but it isn’t overwhelming. You can use canola oil if you don’t have coconut oil.

- Make personalized gifts! Wrap the pieces up in clear plastic bags or containers with a ribbon and tag. They make great holiday, host, or anytime gifts! Switch it up with fun and festive ribbon colors and tags for each season.
